PEACE HILL PRESS FIRST LANGUAGE LESSONS REVIEW

Thank you to Peace Hill Press for letting us review The First Language Lesson Level I.
First Language Lessons, Level 1

A complete grammar text for the youngest student, First Language Lessons for the Well-Trained Mind, Level 1 uses copy work, narration, picture study, and other classical techniques to develop the student's language ability.

Level 1 has the same great content as the original edition, along with new picture narration lessons. It has been redesigned for clarity and ease of use. Lessons follow the same order as the original edition.

Originally published along with the second level of First Language Lessons as a single volume, Level 1 has been redesigned as a simple-to-use one-year program.

My Review:

I'm thankful to Peace Hill Press for letting us review the First Language Lessons.
First Language Lesson teaches your children the basics of Grammar. What I love is that it is a very gentle approach. The lessons are short and sweet. I love that First Language Lessons has narration and memorization. Our children loved memorizing the poem: The Butterfly by: Christina G Rossetti. Our children made a game out of memorizing the poem which is fun and exciting for our children. I love that they have copy work too, I have done copy work for years and I see that our children learn how to read, write, spelling, and grammar with copy work. All by just copy work which is highly affective. First Language Lesson is a Great staring point for any child. I'm currently using it for our 9 year old and 7 year old. With our 9 year old it's mainly review but good for him to review. And our 7 year old is catching on quite nicely. So as you can see you can use First Language Lessons with multiple ages at the same time. I enjoy the gentle approach that First Language Lessons offers.

Please check out Peace Hill Press for other Classical Curriculum that would fit your needs. We don't do all classical but we use alot of there approach. We use Story of World which can be purchased at Peace Hill Press. And we LOVE the Jim Weiss Cd's, you can even download them to your I touch. Awesome website and resources. Please check it out:)

I also put a forum in that can be viewed from a mobile device.. I couldn't find where to contact you privately so I'm commenting, hope that is okay. :) God Bless!

Sounds really good. I wish they were around about 20 years ago when I first started homeschooling.
