Our children don't believe in Santa but they do believe in Jesus.
We participated in this because it was a function for the gym.
We don't want our children to feel totally left out:) They have friends and we have friends there to.

Psalm 23

1The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

3He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

I have been studying this verse the whole month, I challenge you to read it daily and rest in God's presence.
Have a blessed day!!!!

Nativity of Jesus Ornaments:)

Thank you to Bernadette for a wonderful day of crafting at her house.

Luke 1:31-33 (New International Version, ©2010)

31 You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.”

Matthew 2:9-11 (New International Version, ©2010
9 After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. 10 When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. 11 On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.

Luke 2:4-5 (New International Version, ©2010)

4 So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5 He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child.

Luke 2:8-11 (New International Version, ©2010)

8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.

Luke 2:16 (New International Version, ©2010)

16 So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger.

Luke 2:6-7 (New International Version, ©2010)

6 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.

Christmas Crafts 12/1/10

Paper Snowflakes Made Easy
By: Robert Kelley

Today we got together with some our friends from Our Home School Group and made some Christmas Crafts. I love Kids Zone, its a wonderful website, lots of crafts and worksheets.

For the Hand print Wreath, I didn't have construction paper so we painted white paper, red and green and then traced there hands onto the painted paper.
