Orthodontist Field Trip

Thank You Jenny for setting up this wonderful field trip.
D Man had a panoramic x-ray. We learned alot about DMan's teeth.  He is missing an adult tooth that will never come in.This was his first ever x-ray.

One of the ladies went over how to brush your teeth and floss.

Each children got to make an impression or there teeth if they wanted too or there hand.

Ducky mixing up the mixture for her impression.

Ducky putting her hand in the impression.

Ducky's hand before we filled it.

D Man had no problem with the impression in his mouth. What was cool they had different flavors to make it more tasty.

D Man filling his impression.

There is this stigma that kids fear going to the dentist, but this field trip helped them conquer their fear by showing them in a fun way how everything in the dental office works out. I think it's great that they were allowed to see how impressions are made. It's a great way to introduce them to the whole practice, allowing them to see things in a different light. Let's hope they do aspire to become dentists in the future! Kudos!
