We have been learning about:

The Ark of the Covenant

and the Ten Commandments is inside the box.

We marched around out courtyard 7 times and blew our Trumpets and shouted and our city came tumbling down.

D Man and Ducky seized the city and now they are inside the city.

The Minoan Civilization-Lesson 12 ( 2200 B.C.)

The Minoans were named after one of their rulers, King Minos.

The picture below shows them bull-leaping this was there sport of choose, it was like gymnastics.

The Minoan Civilization lived on the island of Crete near southern Greece.

They are not sure what happened to Minoan Civilization.

There are many theories:

One of them is that there was an volcano that wiped out the Minoan Civilization or maybe it was a tsunami or maybe a earthquake. I guess we aren't suppose to know, This is Mystery of History.



Early Egyptians-2575-2500BC

The Sumerians-Lesson 7- 3500-2500 B.C.

What is a civilization?

A civilization is born when you have lots of people living near one another who depend on each other to live.

 The Sumerians lived in the " Fertile Crescent"

which is between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers in modern day Iraq.

They called this area " Mesopotamia" which means "land between to two rivers."

In the city of Ur, they built ziggurats ( flatten pyramid) for there gods. They worshiped there gods in the temple. We believe in the ONE TRUE GOD.

The Sumerians very amazing people.

They had accomplished many things.

After the flood alot of the skills had been lost and The Sumerians brought back things that were lost.

For example:

Flushing toilets

irrigation systems

hot/cold running water

They invented the wheel.

There written language was called " cuneiform"

Above D Man and Ducky made there own "cuneiform tablets.

Abraham was an Sumerians, he came from Sumeria.

He left the city of Ur to seek  the one true God.

 The Sumerians were intelligent people. But we know very little about them, This is the Mystery of History.

Dinosaurs-Lesson 6-Created on 5th and 6th days

What do you believe?

The Bible says that sea creatures and birds were created on the 5/6 day of Creation. On the 6th day he created the beasts of the earth. We have to believe that would be the dinosaurs.

In Job 40:15 it says:

"Take a look at Behemoth, which I made, just as I made you. It eats grass like an ox."

Another Mystery is that if the dinosaurs where on the ark?

The Bible says that ALL living creatures were on the ark.

I read a book from Answers In Genesis to the kids, and it explained that at first dinosaurs were not meat eaters they only ate grass etc, which made them herbivores. It wasn't until after the fall of man that they started to kill for meat.

Dinosaurs co-existed with humans and they weren't so terrible but actually quite nice. Remember God created them and he meant for all things to be beautiful.

Dinosaurs will always be a Mystery but until next time ponder the thoughts of this Mystery of History.

Ice Age-( 3500 BC) Lesson 5

"The Ice Age"

I never believed that there was an Ice Age. Well now I do. After reading some books

they believed that The Ice Age happened after the flood, which they believed was the cause of The Ice Age.

They believed that not all of the earth was covered but it extended more southward. The ice caps extended futher south then today.

They don't know for sure, as we have seen, this is a mystery.

So we will keep going on this journey.....

Ducky and D Man

We had a ice cube contest to see how cold it was during The Ice Age.

It was VERY cold.......

Ducky making a greenhouse, to represent the vapor ( extra moisture that was in the air)

Which they believed that it was a factor in the cause of The Ice Age. Also volcanic ash in the air along with new uplifted mountains with snow were other factors.

Noah's Ark- Lesson 4-3500BC

Genesis 9:17

Then God said to to Noah, "Yes, this rainbow is the sign of the covenant  I am comfirming with all the creatures on earth.

These are Ducky's promises.

D Man and Ducky are using watercolor pencil to color.paint there rainbow.

So God was angry with all the people for sinning, so God told Noah to build an ark. God was going to flood the earth because everyone was sinning against God. There was a great flood that lasted 40 days and 40 nights. Then God stopped the flooding and they were able to get off the ark. God promised he would never again flood the earth again, that is his promise to us FOREVER.....

Jubal and Tubal-Cain-Lesson 3-5000BC

Genesis 4:21-22

His brother's name was Jubal, the first of all who play the harp and flute. Lamech's other wife Zillah, gave birth to a son named Tubal-Cain. He became an expert in forging tools of bronze and iron.

Tubal-Cain was an instructor of every craftsman in bronze and iron.

You are probably thinking who are these people, well I didn't know either until I started this lesson. It so awesome how God reveals things to you through different lessons. These two men were the first inventers of the harp,flute,bronze and iron. It is a Mystery that early on God created them to be very intelligent but it still is a Mystery. I think there are some things that we aren't suppose to know.

Adam and Eve

 This week we studied in Mystery of History about Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve were made from the dust of the earth which is a mystery to us. But as you can see we exist and we know that only God could have created us.We learned that they are were created for the Garden of Eden and live a fruitful live and they chose to disobey the Lord. They were sent from the Garden and they couldn't return, But I love that God was meriful through it all.

We formed Adam and Eve out of playdough to show how God created Adam the dust of the earth and then he created Eve from Adam's rib.

What I think about Creation is that it is truly a mystery. There are some things that God doesn't want us to know. That is the Mystery of Hystery.
