STATE PARK-NATURE STUDY

We went to our local state park for some rest. It was beautiful that day. The waves were crashing and the sun was beaming. Our son and my husband had fun skipping rocks and seeing how many times they would skip. It's a joy to spend time with my family. 

At this state park there is a long boardwalk and then a nice sandy trail. The picture below is on the nature trail. My family are being monkeys. 

Ducky and DMan found these branches on the nature trail and they were using them as brooms to swept the trail. I thought this was very creative. 

Ducky found this amazing shell that was formed into a heart. I just love hearts and Ducky knows it. She gave it to me, I was so happy.

Another thing this state park has is mangrove trees and there we found tons of crabs scurrying around on the ground and the trees. Its an amazing site. 

This picture was taken over looking the brackish water and the boardwalk the goes over to the beach. 

The day would not be complete without catching lizards. 

Another beautiful day spent in God's creation.

Polly Pocket Lizard

This was so funny I had to share. Ducky was dressing this lizard in Polly Pocket clothes and the lizard let her. Ducky let the lizard go the night before and it stayed on the screen the whole night. The lizard loved her. So funny:)  

Beach Day!!

Last week we took a beach day. It was so much fun. 

Here is a man o war we found. I love going to the beach, we always find something which is great with doing Apologia Swimming Creatures this year. So here is our day!!

This is our little crab we found. 

Here is our little friend again. D Man tried to pick him up and he pinched him, I felt so bad. This was a lesson to be learned. We just studied crabs so it was great to find and observe this crab. 

It was low tide this day so Ducky was having so fun surfing. She even told me she wants to learn how to surf, gymnastics comes in handy for this one-Balance. 

Going out to catch some waves, Ducky is so brave.

Nature Study and Art

This was the third alliagator we saw this week. We were at the same preserve twice in the week.

Nature Study at Local Nature Preserve

You can tell it's springtime here. All the baby animals are being born. How cool to see this!!!

First we saw a baby alligator, which was very close to us. 

D Man catching grasshopper, they have so much fun doing this. They never get sick of this. 

This is Yoga, Ducky named the grasshopper. 

I just thought this was a pretty flower. 

A Tree Frog, you have to look closely. 

It blends in. 

We were walking on the trail and saw another alligator which was very close again. This one is a juvenile alligator. 

This was our day of nature study, awesome day!!!

Weedon Island Preserve

They have a awesome indoor nature center that explained the history of Weeden Island Preserve. It's so nice trying new things and stumbling upon awesome places.

They used big tree branched to make canoes but first they had to burn the inside out. 

Timeline of History

D Man and Daddy have constructed a clay pot, in those days it was alot more work for the people that lived on Weeden Island. 

Ducky decided she wanted to construct the clay pot too, she did it all by herself. 

Ducky's finished the pot. She was very proud of herself and so were we.

Thankful for a wonderful time at Weeden Island Preserve. I love being out in nature exploring new things and thankful we made the time to check out a new nature preserve. 

Nature Study at Local Wildlife Center

Friday after CBS we went to our local wildlife center. I'm thankful for places like this so we can explore nature and seeing some of God's amazing creatures. Get outside and explore the world out there.
