Lesson 13-Mount of Olives:Awesome Ascension

This was our last class, we did it!!!!

Read Matthew 28:16-20,Acts 1:1-11

Memory Verse-Matthew 28:19-20

Go and make disciples of all nations... teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always.

Below is our craft we did for this class:

Cut a paper bag into a rectangle and have your child use markers to write out : Shalom in Hebrew. Shalom means peace.

Lesson 12-Jerusalem:Seeing is Believing

Bible Story: Johnn 20:19-31
Memory Verse: John 20:31
These are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.
We used crayon water colors on this coloring page.

Today in our Bible story, Thomas said he wouldn't believe Jesus was alive until he touched Jesus' hands. When Thomas touched Jesus, He said. My Lord and My God.
The craft below are different textures of fabric to show how we believe that they are soft,hard etc. so we should believe Jesus came and he is alive.

Here we are washing each others feet, like Jesus did with his disciples.
What a humbling experience for our children.

Lesson 10

Bethany: Dead Man Walks Out of Tomb

Read: John11:1-45

Memory Verse: Psalm 100:5

Bethany was just outside of Jerusalem.

We made friendship bracelets and gave them out at our co-op.

Take an envelope and seal it, then have child color it,cut ends off and then cut into strips and then you will have friendship bracelets.

There was no electricity. There weren't even flashlights. People used specially shaped clay pots as oil lamp.

This is what Haley is holding.

Talk to your children Jesus is there friend and he loves them so much.

We took tape and made the the letter J for Jesus and then painted around the J and peeled the tape off of the construction paper.

Bethsaida: Blind No More-Lesson 7

Bethsaida, The name of the town we are visting means "house of fish".
Up above we made 3 puzzles representing the town of Bethsaida.

Our group met at the park and we read the Bible story and then we
made cards for someone special showing others that Jesus cares for all.

Galilee:Storm Rocks Boat-Lesson 6

Salt Dough with Foam Boats

Bible story: Mark 4:35-41
Memory Verse: Philippians 4:6
We meet at our local park and there is a boat there
so we had the children sit in the boat and we rocked
it back and forth to represent the storm in this story.
Then we made salt dough and placed it on cardboard which
represented the waves and then we placed a foam boat on top
of the waves.

Capernaum:Roof Collapses-Lesson 5

We made puppets to represent the friends that brought the man to be healed. They brought there friend up through the roof to be healed and he was healed because they believed in Jesus.
