DUCT TAPE WATERMELON PURSE TUTORIAL

Our daughter loves to do crafts, Here is a tutorial of how to make a duct tape watermelon purse which I got from Sophie World

First you have to make the Duct Tape Fabric. You over overlap the duct tape to make the bottom layer and then you cover the top with a layer of duct tape. And you will have Duct Tape Fabric.

Print your watermelon template from Sophie World. Trace onto Duct Tape Fabric. Cut out watermelon template.

Trace seeds onto wax paper to make it easier for you to peel off. Then take your black duct tape and put it on the wax paper and cut out your seeds for your watermelon. Leave some room so you can peel the duct tape off of the wax paper. Put your seeds aside and proceed to the next step.

Finally take a strip of green duct tape for the rind of the watermelon purse. Place you duct tape onto wax paper and cut little slits so you can peel it off and put it on your watermelon purse. Cover the bottom with the green duct tape. This adheres the whole purse together. Start at the top of one side and work your way around the watermelon.

Place your seeds on the watermelon purse and don't forget to cut out a bit mark for your watermelon purse. If you want that added touch.

There is a video on Sophie World on how to make this too.

This is not my design but something Ducky does enjoy doing.

Have a blessed day!!!!

PRESIDENTS DAY CRAFTS

First I had them make :
The White House out of craft sticks which I got the craft idea from Craft stick White House

DMan made a face of George Washington which I got from DLTK. Our children are never to old for easy crafts.

Ducky did the same craft but I like how face is very different from his.

How was your day today and how did you celebrate our Presidents Day?

SACK RACES FOR CHILDREN

Our children one sunday came up with this. I always amazes me how creative children are. They were using trash bags to have sack races. Why not, right?

What have your children come up with that was creative, without you saying a word?

Snowman Craft

I saw this craft on Pinterest and loved it. I got this craft from Oopsey Daisy Blog
You take equals parts of glue and shaving cream and mixed together and then have your children paint it onto a piece a paper, when it dries it will be puffy like a big puff of snow. Very easy and fun as you will see in our children's eyes:)

Outline your snowman on paper with the shaving cream and glue and let dry.

Most children love to be messy, they had a blast with this craft.

Cut out your hat, eyes, mouth, buttons, nose and arms out of construction paper, you can make a scarf if you like.

Here is your finished Snowman craft. You can read a book along with the craft or just do the craft for a day of fun. I love how it comes out puffy and looks like a snowman!! Living in Florida this is the closest we will get to a snowman this year!!!

Have a blessed day!!

Three Cup Holder

So D Man thought he could make a three cup holder so he thought that you could fill each one up and when you are finished with the first one then you could have a back up but there is a problem the other cups would spill and you would have a Big mess. So we decided that this cup holder could be used for three people at a time. This is one of D Man's invention. So funny!!

A close up of the Cupanator, D Man named it:)
