Adam and Eve

This week we studied in Mystery of History about Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve were made from the dust of the earth which is a mystery to us. But as you can see we exist and we know that only God could have created us.We learned that they are were created for the Garden of Eden and live a fruitful live and they chose to disobey the Lord. They were sent from the Garden and they couldn't return, But I love that God was meriful through it all.

"We are to obey all the way, right away and with a happy heart"
Ginger Plowman

We studied Mexico a couple of weeks ago, I'm just getting around to posting it. We had  tacos by ourself this week, Our friends child was sick so we had dinner alone. We love tacos but I didn't do anything to special for this study.

Our Home School Year-2010-2011

We always start our day with the Bible. These two are my favorites. We read from them daily. We also have a take home sheet from church that we review weekly.

Ducky is using Primer (1st Book)for her Math  and D Man is on Alpha (3rd book)

Ducky is using the Kindergarten book and D Man is using Cursive Success.

D Man has been Exploring Creation through plants, we have fully enjoyed this study. We are on Lesson 7. When we are done we will doing :

This subject is very interesting how many things are truly a Mystery.

Ducky is learning to read this year, I used this with D Man and he reads really well. Ducky is doing good to. When Ducky is done with this book we have Abeka reader that we will be doing.

We started Geo over a year ago and we used Galloping the Globe as our scope and but our own twist on it.  We have studied Africa,Europe,Asia, Australia, South America and we are now on Mexico and them Canada, then on to the US. It has been an exciting journey with one other family. Check out my blog under Geography.

We love Draw write Now, we use this we our co-op's and for extra writing.

We will using this for our Art.

Even though we have all this cirrculum let us not forget the focus of our home schooling, GOD first!!!!!!

Creation-Lesson 1-5000BC

Genesis 1
"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."

D Man Creation Sheet ( 7 yrs old)
Ducky Creation Sheet (5 yrs old)
What I think about Creation is that it is truly a mystery. There are some things that God doesn't want us to know. That is the Mystery of Hystery.

Check out some of these resources available on the web:

I know there are alot more but these are some that we used.

Botany-Testing Transpiration

D Man's Hypothesis was that would lose it's chlorophyll and it will not be able to trasnport water.

This when we first started the experiement.

This is after a week, so D Man was correct.
We also studied  the Anatomy of a Leaf.
1. The very tip is called the apex
2. The midrib is the main vein of the leaf.
3. The entire leaf above the petiole is called the lamina
4. The edge that surrounds the leaf is called the margin.

Moses- for Younger Children

Read Exodus 3:1-4:17

Bottom Line: God is always with me.

Bible Verse: Joshua 1:9

Talk to your child about how God is always with like he was with Moses when he had to talk to Pharaoh.

Enjoy this week in his word:)
